I spent much of my time reading The Other Woman disliking pretty much every character in it, including the heroine. So. Much. Yelling. At. Emily. So much. Very clearly from the start her boyfriend Adam, who has already had one fiancee pass way on him, is bad news. He's rude, controlling, a mama's boy and his mother seems to be a total witch. Seems to be. I spent a lot of time disliking her as well. I will not say that Pammie is a saint, because the lengths she goes to in order to break Adam and Emily up are pretty awful, but she does end up being a sympathetic character that you almost miss when the story is finished. If not for Adam being so awful maybe some of the ending would have come as more of a surprise, but he was very clearly cast as a villain, along with his mother.
