This book was just okay for me. I never really got into the main character bc I was so annoyed with how she was handling her situation. She never spoke up for herself and when she did she just came across as catty or jealous or immature rather than as a strong woman. I already wasn’t feeling her and then the book kept dragging along the same issue just in different manifestations and I just wanted to shake the main character and yell speak up for yourself!!!! The twist at the end was an interesting attempt but I saw it coming and again it seemed like another case of a different character not speaking up. Basically, if there was open communication in any of these people’s lives there would have been much less drama. While I understand that it’s a book and there is supposed to be drama, it just didn’t work for me given the circumstances. It was more irritating than anything.
