This book follows Adam and Emily, happy and in love. But there's a woman trying to sabotage their relationship: Adam's mother, Pammie.

Most of the book is told from Emily's perspective as she is getting abused and tormented by her future mother-in-law. A few bits are told by Pammie herself and they are creepy sections. This mother-in-law to-be will stop at nothing to keep Emily away from her son, Adam.

The story had me intrigued from the beginning. It was average writing and very fast paced. I think I was just dissatisfied with the direction the twist took. I found that the ending took away the potential uniqueness the book had to offer.

If you love mystery books, it's still a worthwhile read.
