This book starts off light, as we're introduced to a self-assured woman who meets a handsome guy at a bar and starts dating him. The writing is somewhat superficial, with a lot of attention paid to the outfits, hair, and nails of the protagonist. The initial courtship is rushed through, and it soon becomes clear that there's something sketchy about the new boyfriend, and that it involves his mom. I kind of want to see what happens, but don't know if I love the writing enough to continue.
