From my first glance at the beautiful cover, I was intrigued! I have always enjoyed tales of Arthurian legend so I knew this would be right up my alley. The characters are truly compelling and I love the chemistry between them.
I love the idea of a female Merlin for this story and found it interesting and well done. Emry is a strong female character and I loved how she saw the opportunity to further her study of magic at the castle and seized it. That’s my kind of MC. Also, sneaking into the castle and pretending to be her brother sure made for some very entertaining and suspenseful moments! It’s quite a fun ride, with humor, intrigue, and of course some fun romance as well. It basically has it all!
The writing is so descriptive that I really felt immersed in it- it was like I was actually there, seeing the action unfold in front of me. I highly recommend this one, especially if a remix of Arthurian legend appeals to you.
