The cover does the book a disservice
The cover doesn't match the energy of the contents of the book, and it didn't particularly draw me. The text colors, font, and overall design feels a little too pop/modern for what is essentially a fun, quirky retelling of King Authur and Merlin.
Cover aside, Emry makes for a really compelling protagonist. She's capable and smart, and after living in her mediocre-at-best brother's shadow for so long, I'm excited for her to finally claim successes of her own.
