You had me at "Channeling the modern humor of A Knight's Tale..."! And then I read the First Impression and I was hooked, I wanted to keep reading! The Other Merlin has definitely been bumped to the top of my September tbr. Who knew a YA retelling of the Arthurian legend could be so intriguing, I need this in my hands now.
While I loved the First Impression, I have to admit I don't love the cover as much. I like the smirk on the face, and the castle in background, but the colors and the font don't really evoke the feelings I got from reading the first 6 chapters. But this is one book that should not be judged by the cover alone!
