July is driving down the road when suddenly the world goes quiet and she realizes she is all alone. There's no other humans, animals, or insects, and she can't leave the invisible barrier of her town. Where is everyone? Things get even stranger when a mysterious message is left on the high school marquee: GET TH3M BACK. July isn't sure what is going on or why, so she begins a journey of self discovery and reflects on what brought her to this moment.

I FLEW through this one today! The super short chapters and mystery elements make this a fast read. It sometimes reads like a novel in verse or stream of consciousness. There are chapters sprinkled throughout between July and a therapist that are written in a script format. This book reminds me a lot of We Were Liars and The Probability of Everything. It’s got an unreliable narrator, scattered timeline jumping from present to flashbacks, and a twisty final quarter that I honestly wasn’t fully sold on. I loved everything other than the way this ended... it's more teen angst and less thriller than I was expecting. This one will be BIG when it gets published next week though!
