All the feels
Loneliness, depression, guilt, regret, love. All of these emotions are present in this book. July Fielding finds herself alone, in her town, with no other signs of life.
Why is everyone gone? Where did everyone go? Why is she alone?
When I first finished this book I thought
I was missing an answer to more questions, but it goes deeper than the obvious questions of what happened, but rather, this book is a study on emotions, feelings, and how they can make us feel invisible, alone. Can we get out of this and continue to live life? Can we move on after heartbreak? After change?
This was a quick read with short chapters that managed to capture these emotions with few words.
I've always enjoyed Aly Condie's books and this was no exception. Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book. I would recommend this to others and can't wait to read her next one
