Author Ally Conde writes in a way that keeps the plot moving well. The choice of first person is perfect. When there is conversation, the characters sound realistic when speaking to one another. Extra intrigue is added with the part about the therapist talking to July. The reader is kept guessing as to what is real in the story. I think many young people would enjoy this story.
