Sounds interesting but sounds familiar

Ally can write a page turner. She has a history. I do worry that this book will harken back to others of it's subgenera. The storyline of everyone but me is gone has been seen and done before. There is the Gone series, then Patterson did a YA series, just off the top of the head. So I hope this can stand out among a crowded filed of big names, as well as be different than the many streaming series in the same field.
