The story hooked me right from the start! I really like the writing style and the way story is split into “now” and “once” sections. I love the story so far, and the atmosphere is pure perfection – it’s mysterious, spooky, and a bit ominous. I love to read stories with unreliable narrators! The short chapters, each ending on a cliffhanger, kept me on the edge of my seat. I was completely immersed in the story and July’s world, feeling and experiencing everything through her eyes. It made me mentally “relive” one of the very vivid dreams I had when I was younger. I also like the cover design, especially the way July’s silhouette stands out while the rest of the town is covered in darkness. I would love to finish the rest of the story!
