intriguing mystery - Only Girl in Town

The opening chapters for this book are short (single-paged) and give the feel of a novel in verse almost. It quickly builds the tension as the reader feels the main character begin to panic as she realizes that everyone in her town is gone and she is the only one left. The writing style doesn't overtly grip me or pull me away. It's an interesting premise but I'm not sure that it has captivated me fully to add it to my TBR. I'm skeptical of books with a person all alone since I enjoy dialog and intercharacter dynamics.
