I loved the MATCHED series and was excited to see a new book from Ally Condie. And the first impression pages did not disappoint! I appreciate how Condie sets the mood with the short opening pages and how we get a strong sense of July's loneliness after everyone she loves basically disappears. I love how some of the chapters read more like poetry than prose, and how there are conversations from the past with her friends as well as current conversations with her therapist sprinkled in there! Love the jumping back and forth between the "Once" and the "Now."
