Liv and Finn were at a high school dance, when shooters came in to knock of people on the "list". Fast forward, twelve years and Liv and Finn are reunited by a documentary about the shooting. At first, I was wary about this topic of a school shooting and a romance story, but wow was I wrong. There are two parts to this story; one the romance between Liv and Finn who were in the janitors closet making out when the shooting started and the other was the story of four women who became friends after the incident while in group therapy. Both story lines where special and expertly written. I’ll start with the four women; as teens they really didn’t travel in the same social circles and weren’t friends, but the tragedy they survived and the feelings they shared during their therapy bonded them together. The other story line over the summer Finn and Liv reacquaint themselves with each other and get to know the adults they’ve become and falling hopelessly in love. I am excited to see future books about the other three women.
