So Romance is not my typical genre--although it is definitely a guilty pleasure when I need something mindless and entertaining--but I had read the first few chapters of The Ones Who Got Away on BookishFirst and immediately requested it on Netgalley. This one had me hooked and I read it all within one day. This one was super addictive! The writing was very good, the characters were well-developed, and the storyline was current. While there are definitely parts that are over the top and somewhat cheesy, the book still served its purpose spectacularly. It was purely entertaining. This is the first in a series, and I will probably pick up the next book, as well.
