Roni Loren brings the reader the first book in The Ones Who Got Away series centered around a group of students 12 years after the rest of the senior class was killed at the prom. After reading the preview provided by BookishFirst, this book seems like a reader could put this put down and have been filled with hope, just as the characters found that there are good things that could happen after tragedy. Grief and guilt can overcome someone at such a pivotal point in their short life, but the point is that you still have to keep living and find the positive when there were so many that did not get to see their tomorrow. With how the world is going today and most weeks there is a headline depicting a tragedy at school, this book can show that there can be good found.
