I absolutely love second chance romance stories and this one will give you all the feels! This was the first Roni Loren book that I have read and I was pleasantly surprised by her style and her depth - the scenes are packed with emotion and a sense of honesty about the topic of school shootings. I liked how both Liv and Finn are realistic in their fears, and their flaws to create a believable romance after surviving a tragedy. I suppose it was a bit cliche that Finn, the golden boy, and Liv, the girl from the wrong side of the tracks, fell for each other but the author never made it feel cliched - she made it feel very genuine. They didn't automatically come together, they had to live/learn and mature before they found themselves. I am very much looking forward to this series and how the other characters deal with their survivor's guilt and build their lives from there. This book is well worth the time so check it out!
