This is the first book of this author's that I have read and it was not a bad read. The characters, even the supporting characters were relatable in the tragedy that they survived and this was not the typical cliché lost love/second chance romance read. The characters had chemistry and were realistic in their fears as well as how they coped with the events of their past. I liked how the friendships were formed and I liked watching Liv grow stronger trying to overcome her past as well as her mistakes from the past through out the book. I thought that Finn was just broken at first and I began to like him more once he began to open up to Liv more. I enjoyed this book from the start and look forward to more from the author in the future.
