The Ones Who Got Away has become one of my top 10 books. Starting out, you read about a woman reliving the worst night of her life. Her boyfriend runs out to be the hero, her lab partner locks her in the closet, the senior class of 2005 is dealt a devastating blow. Reading about how Liv and Finn and the rest of the classmates deal with this tragedy is inspiring and refreshing. It has reminded me to never give up hope. Love exists, good people exist.
The writing style of this book is what captured me first. Everything is smooth and flows together like music. Your heart will race with Liv's panic attacks, your eyes will cry when the characters do. This story is well written and beautifully delivered!
