I would not have thought a book that is centered around a school shooting could be as good as this is. It is a second chance love story with a fair amount of angst. That is not usually my cup of tea, but I felt safe reading such as story in Roni Loren's words. She did not disappoint. The writing is so good. I loved the banter and was smiling quite a bit for a story that has such a "heavy" premise. I liked Finn a lot. He is super hot and has swoon-worthy words to say to Liv. Liv is a strong character whose strength grows throughout the story. The scenes with her girlfriends are well-written and really add to the plot. They make me anxious to read more to come in this book series. I could easily recommend this book to people without hesitation. It is a romance done right.
