When Liv and Finn see each other again for the first time in 12 years, sparks fly. They are instantly re-attracted to each other, yet very cautious about acting on that attraction due to all that has happened since the tragedy they both experienced over a decade ago.

The way the story is told, the reader gets to peek inside both of the main character’s heads. I enjoyed getting to “witness” the internal struggles happening on both sides. The characters are both very appealing, but also very flawed, which makes them believable and relatable. I especially appreciated the fact that as Liv seeks to grow and overcome the trauma of her past, it is not just her relationship with Finn that pushes her and helps her to find healing, but it is also her friendship with the other female survivors.

Compelling plot and enjoyable characters. A very satisfying read!
