This book hooked me immediately. IMMEDIATELY. I was drawn to the cover, the blurb, and the sample (first two chapters). The "ripped from the headlines" backstory combined with the spark of chemistry and obvious baggage that the main characters are carrying around makes for compelling reading and an immediate investment in the storyline. I already want more!
