This sample had everything I love in a book, great main characters, interesting supporting characters, a unique storyline, and an undeniable romance. I particularly enjoy second chance romances and storylines where the couple was acquainted in high school and then meet again as adults. I have never read one where the couple were victims of a school shooting while in high school, and I loved the direction this took the characters and how it framed their situation. I didn't want the sample to end! I was thoroughly into this story and characters.
