Years ago I read a novel called the Luckiest Girl Alive. I hated it, immensely. This book had me hooked from the very start, this is what I wanted to read. People changed by the events instead of using them to their advantage. I was hooked from the very start. The main character appears to be someone who will continue to grow as she works with the documentary crew and seeing those from her past. The cover is one I would have never picked up (too romance dime store novel) but I'm glad I did and will certainly be putting this on my tbr list for 2018.
