After reading the first look of The Ones Who Got Away, I have to say WOW! I really want to read the whole book!
I was instantly drawn in and wondering what sort of tragedy had occurred in the hometown of these characters. Upon finding out, I was horrified, it's so easy to picture this happening because it does happen...far too often. It's a very real part of our lives and therefore very easy to believe and get invested in the story.
I'm also a big fan of the "second chance romance" type of story and the beginning of this book definitely looks to have something like that going on. Having characters who shared some kind of serious experience and end up back together always turns into an intriguing tale and I would love to see how that all works out.
