There was more romance than I either expected or wanted, but overall this was everything that I hoped it would be. I liked how the two sisters were quite different from each other but still had a strong relationship, even if it was fraught at times--this was the most interesting part.

The setting in a world dealing with the very real impacts of climate change was also really great. I liked reading about that.

The reveal came a little too abruptly for me, but I guess it worked and it was interesting to see how the plot progressed once we knew what was going on. The central twist was pretty tropey, but we don't see a lot of YA sci-fi, so I guess I can forgive it. But don't expect anything groundbreaking on that front.

Overall, I enjoyed this one but probably won't reread. I liked the new things it did (especially for a YA book), but I could have done with a bit more character exploration and less romance. I wanted the romance time to be spent on more scenes between the sisters instead.

Also, the cover is GORGEOUS.
