➳ Okay! Okay! This book, This book, just blew my mind! This book gripped me from the first page to the very last. An absolutely genius story from Joan He.

➳ Let me begin by emphasising how much I adore the siblings here . Four chapters in and I was still rooting for Cee and Kasey. Both of them yearn to be with the other, and this warmed my heart. The development they went through (especially Cee) was fantastic. Sibling relationships are often the subplot in most novels, so reading this novel, which revolves around their relationship was so refreshing.

➳The book itself is equal parts an enthralling turn of events tailing earth's ecological end-times, a tactful take on ethics, and the morality of the human heart. Things can seem overwhelming at first, but all eventually falls into place beautifully.

➳ I enjoyed the twist. It was so well-crafted. However the locations were my favourite part! The island was defined so vividly that I could actually feel the salty sea air brushing against my cheeks, and the eco-cities were unlike anything I'd ever seen.

➳ Overall, an exciting emotional coaster with plot twists that will catch you off guard.
