Ok, I’m going to admit I went into this book completely blind. The cover is beautiful and it is a YA sci-fi that seemed promising. I have seen a fair amount of mixed reviews and was curious how I would feel.
I found this book so hard to get into. The world building is hard to latch on to. I don’t typically read sci-fi but as a YA I figured it would be a smoother set up. Once I finally started getting into the book, I felt like the POVs kept jerking me around. The transition between story lines and characters took a minute to adjust to each time they changed. After finishing this book, I felt like I finished Imaginary Friend by how drawn out it was. There was a good reveal having to do with the sisters, but after it happens about 3/4 of the way through, I just felt like it should’ve been over.
Overall, I did want to keep reading. I wanted to try to figure out what was actually going on😂 I gave this one a 3/5⭐️.
