First of all, I want to start out by saying that this cover is freaking gorgeous! I got even more excited to read this book when I learned that it had a dystopian setting!
But man, this book was so gut-wrenching to read! The whole time, there was an air of mystery that kept me on my toes as I was reading. I didn't see most of the plot twists coming.

The sisterly relationship between Cee and Kasey tugged at my heart strings, even when they were apart! Naturally, I was rooting for them to be reunited from the very beginning, and how everything turned out certainly wasn't what I was expecting!

The dystopian/sci-fi world-building of a not-so-far-off future was wonderfully done.

If I had to choose, I'd say I preferred Cee's chapters to Kay's chapters, but that's largely because I love a good survival story. Kay's chapters were very sci-fi heavy, which isn't my favorite, but that's just a personal taste thing.

I'm so happy that this book is a New York Times Bestseller! Joan He wrote a really wonderful book, and I look forward to her future stories!
