This is a dystopian novel that takes place in a futuristic world where most of the earth has become uninhabitable. The main character woke up on an abandoned island one day and she has no idea how she got there. What she does know is that she needs to find her way home. But home isn't just a place for her, it's her sister. She is desperately looking for her sister and in the first chapter the author basically defines home as wherever she can be with her sister. In the book Cee is with a robot type thing and I picture it looking like R2D2 in Star Wars; I'm not really sure why but I like the idea of her having a robot side kick. It was unexpected in a fun way.
I like that this book is about the meaning of home, and sisterhood or sibling love. It's about perseverance and survival. I hope that by the end she finds her way, and is reunited with the sister that she loves.
