I wanted to love this book so much. And to be 100% honest, I could probably love it if I had read it via audiobook. However, that was not available to me.
Many people who comment on this book often praise the cover. I too love the cover. And I felt the cover did not match the book.
This was not a win for me because it was far too science heavy. The wording took me out of the writing so much that I actually did not finish this one. Yep, it was a DNF for me. I don't like to rate my DNF's, but have to give a rating here. I even marked the book as 'read' on Goodreads without a rating. Here I gave it 2 starts for the potential of the story itself.
So back to the writing. I continued to get distracted by the math and the science wording and phrases used. I kept thinking that this was a Young Adult sci-fi that was written for individuals who LOVE sci-fi. I don't read a lot of sci-fi, but the overall premise is what peaked my interest. I thought I would be able to explore a story to love, but I sadly did not.
