100 pages and DNF. Super slow beginning. I try to oush through give it a chance but i couldn't. Something has to capture my attention. What a disaster. I realized too late that this is the same author as strike the zither. Just no. The writing is horrible. I did not like that Cee was written first person and Kay third person. It isn't confusing but doesn't fit the story. Not sure what the decosion for that was exacrly. I sidnt grt very sci fi vibes. Maybe i didnt read enough of it. The story just doesn't make sense and it's uninteresting. Ok we want to know why and how Cee got stuck on the island and why her sister Kay isn't. I got none of those answers and the events leading up to this are not intruging enough. Still boring. Note to self don't read anything by this author. I picked this up because of the great reviews. Now I'm wondering how. Perhaps just not the book for me. 2 for 2 now of -1 star.
