I started the excerpt with the plan to read just the first few pages for now, but I was fully drawn in as soon as I finished the first page. The first chapter has so many questions, many of which feel like they're answered at the end of it, but then you start the second chapter, and your questions begin all over again! The cover art is stunning, it gives me Titanic vibes. The juxtaposition of Kasey's view of Cee and Cee's view of herself show just how much has happened since they saw each other, and I'm eager to read more.
