I'm really not what to make of the beginning of this one. The first chapter focuses on Cee, alone in the wilderness with an android bot. There were too many names, the bot, the name of the boat being built, the name of the person whos abandoned house Cee lives in (I think?). I was confused and didn't know what all these names were referring to, it felt like being dropped into a world where the pretext had already been established. The second chapter focuses on Kasey, attending some sort of virtual reality party. Kasey's chapter had more of the world building and pretext setting that you would expect at the beginning of a novel, but I was still confused by the sci-fi aspects. I'm curious about this book, but not sure if I am curious enough to go out and pick it up.
