The voice of Cee really stands out. The way her voice is portrayed tells us a lot about Celia and her state of mind without straight-up telling us — the way she refers to everything as belonging to M.M. but never claiming anything to belong to her. The way that Kasey’s section kinda throws us into the deep end in terms of worldbuilding but then gives us handholds in the form of a social situation everyone can relate to -- I love that as a technique to grab our attention.
