Sci-Fi and Familial Bonds? Yes Please

I always love reading books with sisters and just strong familial bonds. When well-written, they are the most touching and best stories to read for me and this book is already getting me emotional from a simple first impression! Not to mention the cover is absolutely STUNNING and the reason why I first found myself drawn to this book. All this, paired with the fact that this author's other book is one I've actually enjoyed greatly (I didn't even realize it was her until after I read the first impression) is a win win WIN in my book.
