The cover is eye-catching but screams YA. The summary is a bit disjointed but clearly has a post-apocalyptic feel. But the first impression just didn't do it for me. The first few chapters felt as disjointed as the summary. Maybe this is a stylistic choice on part of the author to mimic the emotions of the protagonist, but I found the story and plot to be very nebulous. But the premise is intriguing, so I'm still interested in reading the story and hope that it will be better than the first impression alone.
