There is a lot going on in these first chapters that keeps the attention but also overwhelms a bit. I got a little lost in the second chapter. At the same time, I wanted to continue and see what was really going on. So, I would suggest a better transition between the two chapters for sure. The first chapter was slightly confusing with the names, but I knew that would come into clarity. It did except for the identity of M.M. Who the heck is that? I'm thinking this book is aimed at the young adult crowd, so I would probably want to be a little clearer on the details. The plot is solid and does interest me. The foreshadowing definitely works!
