When I saw the cover of this book, I was entranced. It's honestly one of my favorite covers and the excerpt did not disappoint! Right from the beginning, you're at the shore with Cee and instantly get a feel of what island life is like. The way everything is described makes it all the more creepy and I found myself hoping for her reunion with Kasey but wanting to know more about how this all came to be. I also thought it was interesting the way the two sisters were introduced -- one without being named in the beginning and the other with a name. Not sure if it was intentional but it was a nice touch!
