When I say the prose is beautiful, I don' t mean it the syntax is fancy or the diction is god-tier or any literary nonsense like (which I like; don't @ me lolol). Joan's writing is emotionally charged, and you can taste each character's feelings as you read even a line or two of dialogue. I lingered on each page because I didn't want the preview to end; I was hoping to live out the experience of this first sneak peek for as long as I could. But, as always, good things must come to an end. I can't wait until this book comes out!
