"The Nine" by Gwen Strauss is a very powerful read. It follows the story of nine women who worked together to survive the Nazis and the torture and torment that occurred during World War Two. It's such an engaging and interesting book. The history is powerful and interesting and easy to follow. At the same time it's heartbreaking and heart-wrenching.
There are so many wonderful books that tell the stories of the various people who survived that era. It's definitely hard to always choose which books to read and even then does one choose the historical fiction novels or the real life ones. In this case I believe it's often so valuable and important to read the true stories and known the names of the people who fought and lived and worked so hard.
