The cover of the book first caught my attention. It’s a true story told in sections with the Nine’s escape stuck in between. We meet each woman and learn how they came to be in the same concentration camp.
I thought it was a well researched book. The author delves into each woman’s life before and after their escape. We see how their ordeal affected them the rest of their lives. It’s a tribute to all they endured.
I thought parts of the book was really good and other parts kinda boring. I found the story of their escape much more interesting than the other parts.
They were all strong women who endured so much during the escape. I found myself holding my breath that they might get caught again during their flight.
I enjoyed the book and think fans of true historical fiction will also. It’s truly amazing what these women lived through.
