I love the whole idea of this book, that it is a true story, that it highlights nine women, that it is centered during World War 2. The book opens with a description of the nine women, and I immediately understood them as people in a way that historical fiction just doesn't match. And yet the writing is as engrossing as any novel. This looks like a fabulous book.
