Women have endured many horrible things in the past. We have stood proud and affirmed our rights. To many lost their lives trying to escape. This book is a testament to those fine young women who on that day got out of line and placed petals from a yellow rape flower in their mouths. Waiting for shots to ring out but there were none. There were however, sounds of the shoes that the women wore. I would love to read this book. I devour books that relate to women in history and this is definitely one to read.
