There is no genre I love exploring more than twentieth century history and as a Jewish person, I frequently find myself going towards World War II history and the plight of my people at the hands of the Nazi regime. I've read countless historical fiction tales and memoirs and I never fail to learn something new, no matter how many tales of horror and strife I read. We must never forget this part of world history so that it can never happen again. We must keep reading stories we haven't heard before, like those of the nine women who survived Auschwitz in Gwen Strauss' The Nine. We must always remember those who died and those who survived. We must honor them by reading and sharing their stories.
