I can't get the thought of this book out of my mind. It's just so hauntingly beautiful - finding hope, strength, and friendship in the darkest most terrible times one could possibly imagine. I always love reading character-driven stories about people during difficult times, especially times of war, but to have it be based on a TRUE story? That's just ... something else. I can't wait to get my hands on this book, I need it as soon as possible.
