I must admit, in this case, it was me and not the book. We did not click. I was really looking forward to reading this book and started it the moment it arrived at my door. Three weeks later, I was still trying to get to page 100. It just did not held my interest at all and I felt like it wasn't progressing as fast as I would expect a thriller to progress. I expected non-stop action from the first page and I felt like the plot was not moving at all. Maybe it was a slow-burn thriller, and that's fine. They work too. I just didn't expect that and that's why I am saying that it was me and not the book that didn't work. My expectations for this book were different. I passed this copy to my husband's uncle who is currently reading and loving this book.
