The only part of the story I really understand is Evan and her mission to find out what happened to her fellow agents on a mission. While going to see the only surviving member she was shaken by his words and actions and now someone is blowing them up. The second part is about Thompson, secretary of defense, and Derry, office of communications trying to make another committee under the table. Not really sure what that is all about especially since there was a lot of government lingo that I am not familiar with.
