Although the First Look starts out slow-paced, it can be argued that the fastidious introduction to Evan Ryder and her super secret spy network ultimately builds a firm foundation from which to grow. You get the impression that Evan is confident and experienced in her line of work - all around cool as a cucumber. There are enough hints about her troubled past to pique my curiosity and urge me to keep reading.
